Ellis provides targeted instruction in Reading at each student’s instructional level which includes

• Small Group Reading Instruction
• Access to Intervention Support
• Rigorous Thematic Literacy Units from Benchmark Advanced
• Rigorous Thematic Literacy Units from EL Education

Math

Ellis provides high quality Math Instruction using the program Bridges that prioritizes conceptual understanding and exploratory learning through choice

Biliteracy

As a TNLI school, we provide pathways to biliteracy for students that have been exposed to Spanish in the home. We also provide students exposed to Arabic in the home an opportunity to maintain and further develop their native language.

In addition, we are planning multiple pathways to biliteracy for ALL students which include:

• Spanish as a second language classes
• Arabic as a second language classes
• Other Biliteracy Options (more info to come, stay tuned!)
