Greetings Ellis Elementary School Community!
As we begin planning for the Ellis 2020 return to school, we wanted to share a few important details with you that will support a successful return to school. First, the online registration period begins on Monday, July 27. It is critical that all Ellis families log in and register their student(s). Since one of our main ways of communicating with families is via School Messenger, we ask that you please confirm that the email and phone numbers are accurate in order to ensure that you receive all information being sent out. Please access and complete the online registration.
The Ellis staff will report to work remotely on August 10th and will work together in order to plan and prepare for our virtual first day of school on August 24, 2020. Your child’s homeroom teacher will reach out to you to schedule a time to meet virtually during the week of August 17th in order to introduce themselves and to ensure that you have everything you need for your child to access and participate in remote learning.
We understand that there may be many questions regarding the start of the 2020-21 school year and want to highlight resources that have been created by the district to help support. The DPS homepage is one resource as well as the DPS Facebook page for announcements and updates about our return to school. More information can be found about the virtual program as well as the district’s full Remote Learning Plan. Families can also visit the Return to School webpage or the district’s FAQ in order to learn more about how the district is preparing for the 20-21 school year.
