Cara Knight

My name is Cara Knight, and I am new to Ellis this year from
Montclair Elementary where I have taught 5th grade for the last five
years. I have been teaching a total of six years, as I am now moving into my
seventh year of teaching. I teach 3rd
grade, which is new to me, and
have loved every moment of it. I have been with Denver Public Schools
for all
my years of teaching and have enjoyed my time here. I graduated with my
Master’s
Degree this past June in Curriculum and Instructional Development from
the University of Phoenix. I went to college at Fort Lewis
in Durango, Colorado where I received my Bachelor’s
Degree in Elementary Education. I am native of Colorado and have been
married for seven
years. I am looking forward to working with the wonderful staff of
Ellis as
well as with 3rd grade this year, as I am excited to be in a new
school in which I have heard such great things about.
