I have been teaching at Ellis for 19 wonderful years. I love working
with children from different cultures. Currently, I am teaching in the
primary grades as an ELA/S teacher. I teach a group of first graders
and they remain with me for second grade. My goal for them is to help
them read and write well enough in Spanish so that they can transition
into English and enter an English speaking classroom in third grade.
I also teach in the after school enrichment program, "Lights on After
School". I enjoy helping students expand their horizons in music and
drama.
Favorite books: My favorite books are "I'll Love You Forever" (although
I cry every time I read it) and the Arnold Lobel Frog and Toad books. I
am currently reading the Zion Chronicles by Bodie Thoene.
