This is my first year of teaching at Ellis. Before coming to Ellis, I taught at many DPS Schools, including Carson and Archuleta. I also taught ECE and every other grade in Michigan before moving here in 2000. In ECE we get the first chance to work with the children in a school setting. Our students are eager to learn, read, play and make new friends. I love being able to introduce them to new ideas, arts, foods, books, trips, and skills and to broaden their horizons. It is my life...my passion. I feel so lucky to be working with such a great principal and staff at Ellis.
As the mother of four sons, and grandmother to seven, I truly love enriching the lives of children. As a high-energy person, I love to travel(I've been all over the world!), read, garden, dance, entertain, cook, bake, hike, bike, and visit friends and family.
My favorite books are by Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Joel Osteen, and Robert H. Schuller....inspirational books!
