Important Letter from Principal Whiteman

Posted 07/07/2017

Dear Esteemed Ellis Community,

Over the last two years, the Ellis community has opened their arms and their hearts to me as a leader and together we have made incredible progress not only in our academics and social emotional learning, but in our school’s culture and in our partnerships with the broader neighborhood.

It has been an honor to serve as the school leader at Ellis, where we have created culture of learning. Here, our values and beliefs steer us in the direction that will support us in achieving our vision: Every child has the right to define, pursue and achieve their dreams. THANK YOU to everyone for your support, your investment and your belief in our amazing school! It is with a heavy heart today, that I announce my departure from Ellis.

I will be moving to CA at the end of July to support my family who is going through a difficult time. I wanted to share this news with you as soon as possible so that it would not come as surprise at the end of the summer break. Once we have more information about who will be stepping in to take my place and when, my supervisors will be providing you with those very important details.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I am here to support you as this transition takes place over the next few weeks.

Kindest Regards,

Nichole Whiteman
