Food For Thought

Dear Ellis Parents,

EXCITING NEWS! Ellis Elementary will be rolling out a new food sack program from Food for Thought Organization for ALL of our students and families on Friday, February 26th, 2016. In partnership with South High School, Food for Thought Organization will deliver a bag of non-perishable food to EVERY STUDENT at Ellis to take home on Friday afternoons. What is unique about this program is that EVERY STUDENT gets a bag of food, eliminating the barrier of signing up for the program. Each PowerSack will provide a family of four 2 meals over the weekend, in addition to some snacks for students to eat. We encourage all of our students to take home the PowerSacks. If you do not feel like your family needs the food, we encourage you to give it to a neighbor, a church or someone you know in need. If you have any questions regarding this new program, please contact Rebecca Biggar, Social Worker at Ellis Elementary at (720) 424-7723.

Thank you!
